Tuatara
Tuatara, the common (Māori) name for three species of reptile in the Sphenodon genus, is referred to as a "living dinosaur". From a taxonomic viewpoint this is incorrect. Sphenodon species evolved before dinosaurs emerged and were displaced by them.
