Methodology and Process
The implementation of a DMU implies that specific methodologies and process are put in place. The methodologies contribute to transform the product in representation manageable by the organization. The process to put in place these methodologies requires to manage at the same time the organization of the company, the information technology solutions and the product representation. Usually two implementation processes are available in the market. Some best practice processes available through software suppliers, and some activity processes available through consulting companies.

Famous quotes containing the words methodology and/or process:
“One might get the impression that I recommend a new methodology which replaces induction by counterinduction and uses a multiplicity of theories, metaphysical views, fairy tales, instead of the customary pair theory/observation. This impression would certainly be mistaken. My intention is not to replace one set of general rules by another such set: my intention is rather to convince the reader that all methodologies, even the most obvious ones, have their limits.”
—Paul Feyerabend (19241994)
“The a priori method is distinguished for its comfortable conclusions. It is the nature of the process to adopt whatever belief we are inclined to, and there are certain flatteries to the vanity of man which we all believe by nature, until we are awakened from our pleasing dream by rough facts.”
—Charles Sanders Peirce (18391914)
