DeGarmo is the niece of Eddie DeGarmo of DeGarmo & Key.
DeGarmo has been in a relationship with Ace Young for two years. On the May 23, 2012 season finale of American Idol Young surprised her with an on-air marriage proposal, which she accepted. The wedding is set for June 1, 2013 in Los Angeles and Diana has chosen a Sareh Nouri dress.
