Composition of current parliament is subject to change due to unexpected circumstances.

(1) The two Pakatan Rakyat aligned independents are Lajim Ukin and Wilfred Bumburing, who left the Barisan Nasional coalition in July 2012.

(2) The unaligned MPs are:

  • Two members of the Sabah Progressive Party, which withdrew from the Barisan Nasional coalition in September 2008.
  • Ibrahim Ali, who won the seat of Pasir Mas in the 2008 election on a PAS ticket but subsequently decided to sit as an independent.
  • Wee Choo Keong, Tan Tee Beng, Zahrain Mohamed Hashim, Mohsin Fadzli Samsuri and N Gobalakrishnan, who were elected as members of PKR the but quit the party in 2010 to sit as independents.
  • Zulkifli Nordin, who was dismissed from PKR in March 2010 for disciplinary reasons.

(3) The seat of Titiwangsa has been vacant since 2011, when its representative Lo' Lo' Mohd Ghazali (PAS) died. As the parliamentary term had run for more than three years at the time of her death, there was no by-election to fill the vacancy.
