Dennis Weatherby - Death

Death

Dr. Weatherby died from what doctors speculate was a blood clot that had traveled to his brain. After struggling with high blood pressure most of his life, his kidneys sustained severe damage. Dr. Weatherby spent a week in the hospital and a week at home on medication to lower his blood pressure. He was 47 when he died.

According to one of his daughters, Audrey Weatherby, during his time at home he hit his foot on a bedpost. Doctors believe a clot formed and eventually caused his death.

Famous quotes containing the word death:

    I knew the poor,
    I knew the hideous death they die,
    when famine lays its bleak hand on the door;
    I knew the rich,
    sated with merriment,
    who yet are sad.
    Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)

    Most of the folktales dealing with the Indians are lurid and romantic. The story of the Indian lovers who were refused permission to wed and committed suicide is common to many places. Local residents point out cliffs where Indian maidens leaped to their death until it would seem that the first duty of all Indian girls was to jump off cliffs.
    —For the State of Iowa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

    O mortal folk, you may behold and see
    How I lie here, sometime a mighty knight;
    The end of joy and all prosperity
    Is death at last, thorough his course and might;
    Stephen Hawes (1474–1528)
