Matthew Malekos has written both with Dennis Nilsen regarding his crimes and individually.
Swans, a musical group, released the song "Killing for Company" on their 1995 album The Great Annihilator. In a 1997 interview for Czech television, Michael Gira stated that he wrote the song based on the acts of Nilsen; how he would kill and keep the bodies over time & continually "make love", paint their faces, bathe them or prop the bodies to watch television with him. In essence, killing them for company.
