Delta Force: Task Force Dagger is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Zombie Studios and published by NovaLogic. It is a “stand-alone mission pack” to the previous installment in the series: Land Warrior.
Delta Force: Task Force Dagger (DFTFD) places the player in the 2002 Afghanistan conflict. The player is given a choice to be any one of ten Special Operations units (below). These forces are the actual Special Forces units deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom. Each team has a special role. For example, Seal Team Six’s role is that of medic, Green Berets are heavy weapon specialists, and CIA Special Activities Division members are snipers. Though each unit has preferred weapons, the player can outfit themselves with whatever weapons they choose.

Famous quotes containing the words task, force and/or dagger:
“Wittgenstein imagined that the philosopher was like a therapist whose task was to put problems finally to rest, and to cure us of being bewitched by them. So we are told to stop, to shut off lines of inquiry, not to find things puzzling nor to seek explanations. This is intellectual suicide.”
—Simon Blackburn (b. 1944)
“Science is unflinchingly deterministic, and it has begun to force its determinism into morals. On some shining tomorrow a psychoanalyst may be put into the box to prove that perjury is simply a compulsion neurosis, like beating time with the foot at a concert or counting the lampposts along the highway.”
—H.L. (Henry Lewis)
“Cruel with guilt, and daring with despair,
The midnight murderer bursts the faithless bar;
Invades the sacred hour of silent rest
And leaves, unseen, a dagger in your breast.”
—Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)
