Del Monte Foods was awarded a Superior Taste Award from the International Taste and Quality Institute in Belgium in 2009, 2011 and 2012. They were recognized for: 2009- Extra Sweet Pineapple 2011- Extra Sweet Pineapple 2012- Hass Avacado Pulp The award is only given to products with superior taste that is recognized in a blind tasting by 60 chefs. Del Monte demonstrated the highest quality and taste with their products.
Del Monte Foods (UK) also submitted their Del Monte Mag Melon and received one star in the 2010 Superior Taste Awards.
