Deliverance (Corrosion Of Conformity Album)
Deliverance is the fourth album by Corrosion of Conformity, and the first on which Pepper Keenan was lead singer. By this album, the band had completely shed their hardcore and thrash influences, instead opting for Black Sabbath-inspired heavy metal style. "Clean My Wounds" was a radio hit. The UK's Kerrang! magazine described Deliverance as a true 90s classic. The song "Mano de Mono" is heard in the movie The Fan. The song "Albatross" is playable in the video game Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Famous quotes containing the words deliverance and/or conformity:
“Disease can never be conquered, can never be quelled by emotions wailful screaming or faiths cymballic prayer. It can only be conquered by the energy of humanity and the cunning in the mind of man. In the patience of a Curie, in the enlightenment of a Faraday, a Rutherford, a Pasteur, a Nightingale, and all other apostles of light and cleanliness, rather than of a woebegone godliness, we shall find final deliverance from plague, pestilence, and famine.”
—Sean OCasey (18841964)
“It is not a certain conformity of manners that the painting of Van Gogh attacks, but rather the conformity of institutions themselves. And even external nature, with her climates, her tides, and her equinoctial storms, cannot, after van Goghs stay upon earth, maintain the same gravitation.”
—Antonin Artaud (18961948)
