Distribution and Habitat

Delacour's langur is endemic to Vietnam, where it is found only in an area of around 6,000 square kilometres (2,300 sq mi) in the provinces of Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Tay in the north of the country. The largest surviving population is believed to be in Van Long Nature Reserve in Ninh Binh, where the monkey inhabits open forest up to elevations of 328 metres (1,076 ft), in terrain dominated by limestone karst.

Famous quotes containing the words distribution and/or habitat:

My topic for Army reunions ... this summer: How to prepare for war in time of peace. Not by fortifications, by navies, or by standing armies. But by policies which will add to the happiness and the comfort of all our people and which will tend to the distribution of intelligence [and] wealth equally among all. Our strength is a contented and intelligent community.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

Nature is the mother and the habitat of man, even if sometimes a stepmother and an unfriendly home.
    John Dewey (1859–1952)
