Defaka Language

The Defaka language is an endangered and divergent Nigerian language of uncertain classification. It is generally classified in a Ijoid branch of the Niger–Congo family. Blench (2012) notes that "Defaka has numerous external cognates and might be an isolate or independent branch of Niger-Congo which has come under Ịjọ influence."

Famous quotes containing the word language:

Please stop using the word “Negro.”... We are the only human beings in the world with fifty-seven variety of complexions who are classed together as a single racial unit.
