Famous quotes containing the words influence of, influence and/or calculators:

The example of America must be the example, not merely of peace because it will not fight, but of peace because it is the healing and elevating influence of the world, and strife is not. Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924)

I believe that the influence of woman will save the country before every other power.
    Lucy Stone (1818–1893)

But the age of chivalry is gone. That of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded; and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever.
    Edmund Burke (1729–1797)
