• Biathlon: World Cup meet 2/10 in Hochfilzen, Austria: The 15 km individual race is won by a clear margin by Anna Carin Olofsson; her first appearance at the top of the podium, and the first Swedish WC win since 2001. Russian team mates Olga Zaitseva and Natalia Guseva finishes second and third, 40 seconds and 1 min 45 sec behind, respectively. Olofsson and Guseva had two shooting errors, while Zaitseva, advancing to the lead in the WC total score, made only one error. (Biathlonworld)
