Death Race (video Game) - Trivia

Trivia

This game is also known as Death Race 2000.

This game board is actually one of few that does not use a CPU.

This game is based on and inspired by the movie Death Race 2000 starring David Carradine & Sylvester Stallone.

There were only 500 or so made.

When it came out it was banned due to its violent content. In the mid-80's there were only believed to be three or four left in existence, but now more are popping up all the time.

An original arcade version of Death Race sits in the Musée Mécanique in San Francisco, and costs one quarter to play.

Famous quotes containing the word trivia:

Pop artists deal with the lowly trivia of possessions and equipment that the present generation is lugging along with it on its safari into the future.
    —J.G. (James Graham)

The most refined skills of color printing, the intricate techniques of wide-angle photography, provide us pictures of trivia bigger and more real than life. We forget that we see trivia and notice only that the reproduction is so good. Man fulfils his dream and by photographic magic produces a precise image of the Grand Canyon. The result is not that he adores nature or beauty the more. Instead he adores his camera—and himself.
    Daniel J. Boorstin (b. 1914)
