De Shalit High School is a high school and two sister junior high schools located in the city Rehovot, in Israel. It is named after the physicist Amos de-Shalit (1926–1969).
The school has around 2000 students. The pupils in the high school may choose two major subjects out of the following: chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, economics, psychology, geography, Bible, history, literature, music, drama, art, French, Arabic and Sport. Along with these subjects, all pupils have to learn mathematics, English and other core subjects. Famous quotes containing the words high and/or school:
“...feminism never harmed anybody unless it was some feminists. The danger is that the study and contemplation of ourselves may become so absorbing that it builds by slow degrees a high wall that shuts out the great world of thought.”
—Rheta Childe Dorr (18661948)
“Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow,
And every where that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go;
He followed her to school one day
That was against the rule,
It made the children laugh and play,
To see a lamb at school.”
—Sarah Josepha Buell Hale (17881879)
