IPC Athletics World Championships 2006
Weir won three gold medals and a silver at the 2006 IPC Athletics World Championships in Assen. Weir won gold in the 100m clocking 14.34 seconds, the 400m in a games record of 48.06 seconds, and the 1500m. Weir got silver in the 200m losing to local favourite Kenny van Weeghel.
