David Platt (Coronation Street)
David Daniel Platt is a fictional character in the UK television ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared onscreen during the episode airing on 26 December 1990 and is portrayed by actor Jack P. Shepherd, who took over the role in 2000 from Thomas Ormson who had portrayed the character since his inception.
