David Hamilton (judge)

David Frank Hamilton (born 1957) is a United States federal judge, currently serving on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He previously was the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. On March 17, 2009, President Barack Obama nominated Hamilton to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. On June 4, 2009, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved his nomination. He was confirmed to the Seventh Circuit on November 19, 2009 in a 59-to-39 vote.
