After Hurricane Katrina, Dellucci, a Louisiana native, started the Catch 22 for Blue Foundation to raise money to help the victims of the hurricane. He was rewarded with a Commendation from the Louisiana Senate and House of Representatives. He heads Dellucci's Dream Foundation which puts on an annual free baseball clinic in Baton Rouge for boys and girls and educates young children with life skills. Dellucci is on the Board of Directors for the Miracle League of Baton Rouge which has built a rubberized field for handicapped children in wheelchairs and walkers to play baseball. He helps coach and pitches during the games.

He has also worked for regional sports networks as a color analyst for college baseball games (mostly Southeastern Conference games). Dellucci is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing.

Dellucci was elected into the Louisiana American-Italian Hall of Fame in 2011.

He is married to Rachel Reynolds, a model on The Price Is Right, and in a 2010 Ultimate Wedding Shower, was a model on a One Bid prize, a wedding outfit for bride and groom. It was the first time a model had appeared with her husband modeling prizes. With two of the show's four models (as of Season 40) being married, both models have modeled prizes along with their husbands.

On the Season 41 premiere (September 24th, 2012), Dellucci appeared with his wife to announce the family is expecting their first child, with the sonogram of the child appearing on the One Bid item, an iPad. The child is due February 2013.

Famous quotes containing the word personal:

The white man regards the universe as a gigantic machine hurtling through time and space to its final destruction: individuals in it are but tiny organisms with private lives that lead to private deaths: personal power, success and fame are the absolute measures of values, the things to live for. This outlook on life divides the universe into a host of individual little entities which cannot help being in constant conflict thereby hastening the approach of the hour of their final destruction.
Policy statement, 1944, of the Youth League of the African National Congress. pt. 2, ch. 4, Fatima Meer, Higher than Hope (1988)

... it is a rather curious thing to have to divide one’s life into personal and official compartments and temporarily put the personal side into its hidden compartment to be taken out again when one’s official duties are at an end.
    Eleanor Roosevelt (1884–1962)

Nothing strengthens the judgment and quickens the conscience like individual responsibility. Nothing adds such dignity to character as the recognition of one’s self-sovereignty; the right to an equal place, everywhere conceded—a place earned by personal merit, not an artificial attainment by inheritance, wealth, family and position.
    Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902)
