Dartford Crossing - Non-motor Traffic

Non-motor Traffic

Pedal powered cyclists are allowed to use the crossing for free, and are conveyed with their bicycles across the crossing in transport provided by the crossing authority. Cyclists report to the crossing control offices on either side and are conveyed in the specially adapted vehicle which contains a bicycle rack which allows cyclists to place their bike on the back and travel in the vehicle.

    John Paxton (1911–1985)
