Dark Carnival (Insane Clown Posse) - Creation

Creation

The concept of the Dark Carnival was inspired by a dream Joseph Bruce had after the foundation of Insane Clown Posse wherein spirits in a traveling carnival appeared to himself. The group decided to incorporate this dream into their band's newly created persona. The spirits are each revealed in a series of albums called the six Joker's Cards. Each spirit relays a message through the use of a moral story. With the advent of Insane Clown Posse's second deck (2009), the character Bang! Pow! Boom!, a new spirit in the Dark Carnival, was introduced. The character is a demon-like figure that Bruce describes as a "continuous explosion that stomps his way through the crowd blowing evil souls to Hell". Though the group originally intended to make the character separate from the six Joker's Cards, he was revealed as part of the second set of Joker's Cards.

Famous quotes containing the word creation:

The creation of “strong-minded” women, so-called, is due to the individualism of men, to the modern selfish and speculative spirit which absorbs everything within itself and leaves women nothing but self-assertion for their protection and support.
“Jennie June” Croly 1829–1901, U.S. founder of the woman’s club movement, journalist, author, editor. Demorest’s Illustrated Monthly and Mirror of Fashions, p. 44 (February 1870)

Books choose their authors; the act of creation is not entirely a rational and conscious one.
    Salman Rushdie (b. 1947)

Like everything which is not the involuntary result of fleeting emotion but the creation of time and will, any marriage, happy or unhappy, is infinitely more interesting than any romance, however passionate.
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
