Awards and Honors
The guided-missile frigate USS Gallery was named for Daniel V. Gallery and two of his brothers, Rear Admiral William O. Gallery and Rear Admiral Phillip D. Gallery.
Gallery Park in Glenview, Illinois (where he commanded the Naval Air Reserve Training forces at the Naval Air Station Glenview from 1952–54), is named after him. The park is located at the former site of the Naval Air Station.
