Daniel Nardiello - International Career

International Career

Because of his mixed heritage, Nardiello could have played international football for Wales, England, Italy. He said this himself, as the Rotherham club programme copied an extract from Wikipedia saying he could have also played for Puerto Rico and USA, but he said it was just the three stated prior to this. He played at under-15 and under-16 levels for England. However, in the end he decided to follow his father, Donato, who played twice for Wales in the early 1980s. He made his first appearance for Wales in a friendly against New Zealand on 26 May 2007. coming on as a 65th minute substitute for Robert Earnshaw.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

I began my editorial career with the presidency of Mr. Adams, and my principal object was to render his administration all the assistance in my power. I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. I therefore waited for the first opportunity to haul down my sails.
    William Cobbett (1762–1835)
