After group shows, he had a 2003 solo show at the Richard Heller Gallery (Los Angeles). Susan Miller curated his first museum retrospective (April 12 - August 12, 2012) at the Oakland Museum of California. It features 100 works, including original ink drawings and gouaches for his cartoons, books and The New Yorker covers. This show will later be mounted at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), the Corcoran Gallery (Washington) and the Wexner Center (Columbus, Ohio), continuing on to Europe and Asia.
