Sources of Czech law are (in this hierarchical order):
- Constitution (Czech: Ústava) and constitutional laws (Czech: ústavní zákony)
- International treaties ratified by the Parliament (Czech: mezinárodní smlouvy ratifikované parlamentem)
- Statutes adopted by the Parliament (Czech: zákony přijaté parlamentem)
- Orders and regulations (Derived legislation adopted by the government and ministries) (Czech: vyhlášky vlády a ministerstev)
- Legislative acts of self-regulated entities - regional (Czech: krajské vyhlášky) and municipal (Czech: obecní vyhlášky)
