Famous quotes containing the words early and/or locomotives:

And dear and early friends—the few
    John Greenleaf Whittier (1807–1892)

In the days of long ago,
    Ranged where the locomotives sing
And the prairie flowers lie low:—
    Vachel Lindsay (1879–1931)
