Elementary School/Preschool
With a motto of "Education that Transforms Heart, Soul, and Mind," Cumberland Christian is known for affordable tuition and excellent Christian education. The elementary school, preschool, and central offices are located at 2356 Clay Road in Austell, Georgia. Principal Gloria Howard presides over this branch of the school as well as the preschool. Past principals include JoAnn Watson (retired in 2000), Brenda Henderson-Mocsiran, and Dr. Davida Grant. The elementary school uses A Beka Book, Bob Jones University Press and ACSI Purposeful Design as its curriculum for instruction.
Until 2003, there were two elementary campuses, one located where the middle school is presently housed and one located at Hurt Road Baptist Church in Smyrna. There have also been Preschool campuses at several other churches in the area. Currently the elementary and preschool are unified on the Clay Road campus.

Famous quotes containing the words elementary, school and/or preschool:
“When the Devil quotes Scriptures, its not, really, to deceive, but simply that the masses are so ignorant of theology that somebody has to teach them the elementary texts before he can seduce them.”
—Paul Goodman (19111972)
“In truth, the legitimate contention is, not of one age or school of literary art against another, but of all successive schools alike, against the stupidity which is dead to the substance, and the vulgarity which is dead to form.”
—Walter Pater (18391894)
“If there is a price to pay for the privilege of spending the early years of child rearing in the drivers seat, it is our reluctance, our inability, to tolerate being demoted to the backseat. Spurred by our success in programming our children during the preschool years, we may find it difficult to forgo in later states the level of control that once afforded us so much satisfaction.”
—Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)
