The Need For Cultural Intelligence

Without cultural intelligence, both business and military actors seeking to engage foreigners are susceptible to mirror imaging. Filling ones own informational gaps by assuming all actors act as the US does can have disastrous consequence. Cultural intelligence is essential to filling this knowledge gap. Understanding the impact a culture and environment has on the people with which you engage is essential to an individual's ability to successfully engage in any environment or social setting.
