Crossbred Dog

The terms crossbred dog, dog hybrid, and designer dog refer to the intentionally bred offspring of two or more different recognized dog breeds. The terms differ from the term "mixed breed dog" which sometimes refers to dogs which are literal mixes of breeds, but is also a common misnomer when referring to dogs with no purebred ancestors.
