The Creative Kids Museum, a part of the TELUS World of Science is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Children's museum, which opened in October 2006, focuses on hands-on explorations of music, theater and visual arts and is Canada's first hands-on museum dedicated exclusively to the arts. Its location at the science museum allows for arts and science to be explored and understood as one. In April 2008, the museum received a share of a $500,000 grant to increase its environmental programming.

“The movies were my textbooks for everything else in the world. When it wasnt, I altered it. If I saw a college, I would see only cheerleaders or blonds. If I saw New York City, I would want to go to the slums Id seen in the movies, where the tough kids played. If I went to Chicago, Id want to see the brawling factories and the gangsters.”
—Jill Robinson (b. 1936)
“[A] Dada exhibition. Another one! Whats the matter with everyone wanting to make a museum piece out of Dada? Dada was a bomb ... can you imagine anyone, around half a century after a bomb explodes, wanting to collect the pieces, sticking it together and displaying it?”
—Max Ernst (18911976)
