Craig Doyle - Early Life

Early Life

Doyle grew up in the south Dublin suburb of Stillorgan. While he was being educated in Roman Catholic schools, the priests wanted Doyle to take to a religious career, but he originally wanted to be a veterinary surgeon. He studied sociology and history at St Patrick's College, Maynooth, followed by the London College of Printing, where he earned a diploma in broadcast journalism.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

I believe that if we are to survive as a planet, we must teach this next generation to handle their own conflicts assertively and nonviolently. If in their early years our children learn to listen to all sides of the story, use their heads and then their mouths, and come up with a plan and share, then, when they become our leaders, and some of them will, they will have the tools to handle global problems and conflict.
    Barbara Coloroso (20th century)

I am heartily tired of this life of bondage, responsibility, and toil. I wish it was at an end.... We are both physically very healthy.... Our tempers are cheerful. We are social and popular. But it is one of our greatest comforts that the pledge not to take a second term relieves us from considering it. That was a lucky thing. It is a reform—or rather a precedent for a reform, which will be valuable.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)
