Covered Bond
Covered bonds are debt securities backed by cash flows from mortgages or public sector loans. They are similar in many ways to asset-backed securities created in securitization, but covered bond assets remain on the issuer’s consolidated balance sheet. However, there exist other variable types where assets come off Balance Sheet.

Famous quotes containing the words covered and/or bond:
“The little toy dog is covered with dust,
But sturdy and stanch he stands;
And the little toy soldier is red with rust,
And the musket moulds in his hands.
Time was when the little toy dog was new,
And the soldier was passing fair;
And that was the time when our Little Boy Blue
Kissed them and put them there.”
—Eugene Field (18501895)
“When the bond of love broke,
the respect born of affection withered,
good feelings fled,
and that man walked before me
like any other,
Good Friend,
I imagine all this,
think on days gone by
and wonder why
my heart hasnt cracked
into a hundred bits.”
—Amaru (c. seventh century A.D.)
