Court Square Place

Court Square Place is a 16 story office building located at Hunter and 25th Streets, near Court Square, Long Island City, Queens just outside of Manhattan and is "the tallest building constructed in the area since 1989." It is owned and operated by the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU). It was completed in 2006 based on the designs from architects of HLW International with Tishman Construction Corporation handling the major construction. The New York Times states that the building "rivals new construction in Manhattan." It is across 44th Drive from the Citicorp Building.

Famous quotes containing the words court, square and/or place:

When a man’s feeling and character are injured, he ought to seek a speedy redress.... My character you have injured, and further you have insulted me in the presence of a court and large audience. I therefore call upon you as a gentleman to give me satisfaction for the same.
    Andrew Jackson (1767–1845)

    Houses haunt me.
    That last house!
How it sat like a square box!
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

The place became full of a watchful intentness now; for when other things sank brooding to sleep the heath appeared slowly to awake and listen. Every night its Titanic form seemed to await something; but it had waited thus, unmoved, during so many centuries, through the crises of so many things, that it could only be imagined to await one last crisis—the final overthrow.
    Thomas Hardy (1840–1928)
