Activities Allowed or Unallowed (A)
This compliance requirement establishes that each program operates for a specific purpose (such as the care of elderly persons or the education of children), and that funds provided for the program should only be used in activities which benefit that purpose. Therefore, Federal assistance provided to a recipient for a specific purpose must be expended for such purpose only.

Famous quotes containing the words activities and/or allowed:
“If it is to be done well, child-rearing requires, more than most activities of life, a good deal of decentering from ones own needs and perspectives. Such decentering is relatively easy when a society is stable and when there is an extended, supportive structure that the parent can depend upon.”
—David Elkind (20th century)
“The mistake that men make is that they do not believe in theater. Otherwise, they would know that every man is allowed to play the celestial tragedies and to become god. All he has to do is harden his heart.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
