The End of CTT

On September 16, 2002, Sony Pictures Entertainment retired the name "Columbia TriStar" from television and renamed the American company to Sony Pictures Television. Some shows continued using the CTDT name, many stopped using in November 2002, while Hollywood Squares continued using it until early 2003. Corporation For Public Broadcasting continued using it until 2010 and Dragon Tales continued using it until 2010

By 2009 Columbia had been the only major film studio to have its name gone from television when CBS Paramount Television was renamed CBS Television Studios.

Famous quotes containing the words the end of, the end:

And I threw a little earth
    on the pink coffin
covered by the fake plastic grass
    and said O.K., God,
if it’s the end of the world,
    it must be necessary.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

There is no calm philosophy of life here, such as you might put at the end of the Almanac, to hang over the farmer’s hearth,—how men shall live in these winter, in these summer days. No philosophy, properly speaking, of love, or friendship, or religion, or politics, or education, or nature, or spirit; perhaps a nearer approach to a philosophy of kingship, and of the place of the literary man, than of anything else.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
