College of The Marshall Islands - Administrative Organization

Administrative Organization

CMI is governed by a Board of Regents appointed by the RMI Cabinet. The Board of Regents sets policies and appoints the President, who is responsible for the operation and general administration of the College.

The Executive Council is a central feature of the College of the Marshall Islands’ shared governance structure. It provides advice to the President, is a clearinghouse for policy matters considered by College Standing Committees; is an essential communications channel across employee groups and to the administration; and contributes to the college-wide planning process. The engagement of administration, faculty and staff is needed to collectively develop CMI’s strategic goals and policies, enhance ownership of the decision making process, create broad based support for institutional decisions, and facilitate more effective implementation of the College’s mission.

Famous quotes containing the word organization:

To fight oppression, and to work as best we can for a sane organization of society, we do not have to abandon the state of mind of freedom. If we do that we are letting the same thuggery in by the back door that we are fighting off in front of the house.
    John Dos Passos (1896–1970)
