Cold Hard Bitch

"Cold Hard Bitch" is the fourth single (second in the United States) by the Australian rock band Jet, from their 2003 album Get Born. It was released in 2004. The song reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks, giving the band their only #1 Modern Rock hit. The single also spent an impressive 8 weeks at #1 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

The video for the song shows the band performing in a bar, playing pinball and talking to women.

The song was produced by the Hothouse team, Craig Harnath and Finn Keane.

When the song was performed at Live 8 in Canada in 2005, the name was changed to "You're Like This". It is believed that this was done to cover up the word bitch, as they were playing for a benefit concert.

Track 2, "Everlovin' Man", was a cover of The Loved Ones' 1966 hit.

Famous quotes containing the words cold and/or hard:

Knighterrantry is a most chuckleheaded trade, and it is tedious hard work, too, but I begin to see that there is money in it, after all, if you have luck. Not that I would ever engage in it, as a business, for I wouldn’t. No sound and legitimate business can be established on a basis of speculation. A successful whirl in the knighterrantry line—now what is it when you blow away the nonsense and come down to the cold facts? It’s just a corner in pork, that’s all.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

It’s very hard to be a gentleman and a writer.
    W. Somerset Maugham (1874–1965)
