Famous quotes containing the words guest and/or rooms:

“‘Ye have robbed,’ said he, ‘ye have slaughtered and made an end,
Take your ill-got plunder, and bury the dead:
What will ye more of your guest and sometime friend?’
‘Blood for our blood,’ they said.”
    —Sir Henry Newbolt (1862–1938)

“I see slip to the curb the long machines
Out of whose warm and windowed rooms pirouette
    Shellacked with silk and light
The hard legs of our women.”
    —Karl Shapiro (b. 1913)
