Rivalries or Classics
As the only team in town playing in the Top League, Deportivo Cuenca does not play classic games. In previous years names were given as Classico del Austro to matches against the Liga de Loja, Deportivo Azogues and the Audaz Octubrino, teams that had fleeting passage through the top flight. A true classic match was played against the Liga de Cuenca, which for some years remained playing in the Second Division (when Deportivo Cuenca was also in Second Division), now in the provincial ascension leagues, so this classic has not been reissued.
