Ruckus began training in September 1998 at Brainbusters. A former backyard wrestler with HCW (Hardcore Championship Wrestling), Ruckus made his official professional wrestling debut against Chad Olsen on April 18, 1999 for the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation (MEWF).
