Clarion-Goldfield School District
Clarion-Goldfield Community School District is a public school district located in North Central Iowa, in Wright, Hamilton, and Humboldt Counties. The district covers 254 square miles (660 km2), covering the communities of Clarion, Goldfield, and Galt and the unincorporated communities of Holmes and Lake Cornelia. Clarion-Goldfield has a certified enrollment of 799 students in grades K-12. Dows has 125 students in grades K-12. Generally, enrollment increased throughout the 1990s and remained steady. Enrollment declined by nearly 200 students from 2005 to 2010. This was offset by the influx of Dows students through the whole grade sharing agreement and having more students open enroll into the district than open enroll out. The district maintains an elementary school (K-5), middle school (6-8), and high school, all located in Clarion.

Famous quotes containing the words school and/or district:
“When we were at school we were taught to sing the songs of the Europeans. How many of us were taught the songs of the Wanyamwezi or of the Wahehe? Many of us have learnt to dance the rumba, or the cha cha, to rock and roll and to twist and even to dance the waltz and foxtrot. But how many of us can dance, or have even heard of the gombe sugu, the mangala, nyangumumi, kiduo, or lele mama?”
—Julius K. Nyerere (b. 1922)
“Most works of art, like most wines, ought to be consumed in the district of their fabrication.”
—Rebecca West (18921983)
