Christopher Pike (Star Trek)
Christopher Pike is a character in the Star Trek franchise. He was portrayed by Jeffrey Hunter in the original Star Trek pilot episode, "The Cage", as captain of the USS Enterprise. The pilot was rejected, and the character was dropped during development of the second pilot when Hunter decided that he did not want to continue with the series. Sean Kenney portrayed Pike in new footage filmed for a subsequent Star Trek episode, "The Menagerie", which also re-uses original footage featuring Hunter from "The Cage". Bruce Greenwood portrays Pike in the 2009 Star Trek movie, directed by J. J. Abrams.
