Christopher Duncan Hays

Christopher Duncan Hays (1800–1879) was Master of the ship "Reliance". He is believed to have invented the "twin screw" for ships. He was married to Jane Blaxland (1810–1890), daughter of Sir Gregory Blaxland (1788–1853) on 10 June 1829. His grave is at Eden, New South Wales.
