Personal Life
Hayes is the second of four girls in her family. As a child she took up gymnastics for a small amount of time before giving it up in order to pursue acting. She also played the flute, and learned to read music at age 8. For a while whilst working on the show she lived with fellow Home and Away cast member Kate Garven and Garven's family. On Saturday 23 February 2008, Hayes married actor and director Greg Hatton, a.k.a. Hats.
