Christian Unity Party

Christian Unity Party (Norwegian: Kristent Samlingsparti, KSP) is a conservative political party in Norway without parliamentary representation.

The party was founded on 26 September 1998 with the merging of Christian Conservative Party and the New Future Coalition Party, the first originating from a conservative branch of the Christian Democratic Party and the latter from the Progress Party. Their ideology is based upon Christianity, literal interpretation of the Bible, and opposition to reforms in the Norwegian Church.

Famous quotes containing the words christian, unity and/or party:

All great amusements are dangerous to the Christian life; but among all those which the world has invented there is none more to be feared than the theater. It is a representation of the passions so natural and so delicate that it excites them and gives birth to them in our hearts, and, above all, to that of love.
    Blaise Pascal (1623–1662)

The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.
    Bible: New Testament, Ephesians 4:11.

We are the party of all labor.
The whole earth shall be ours to share
And every race and craft our neighbor.
No idle class shall linger there
Like vultures on the wealth we render
From field and factory, mill and mine.
Tomorrow’s sun will rise in splendor
And light us till the end of time.
    Eugène Pottier (1816–1887)
