He is married to Jacqueline Novogratz, founder and CEO of Acumen Fund, a venture capital fund that supports social enterprises and has three daughters, Elizabeth, Anna, and Zoe (1986-2010). Zoe was killed after inhaling deadly amounts of carbon monoxide after a plumber failed to correct a faulty boiler in her home. He has since been charged with her death and imprisoned for 3 years.
