Chipping Norton is in the Witney parliamentary constituency. David Cameron, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and the leader of the Conservative Party, is the Member of Parliament for Witney. The town is part of the South East England constituency for the European Parliament. One Conservative councillor and two Labour councillors represent the town on the District Council, making it the least Conservative part of David Cameron's constituency.
