Philosophy
The party display itself as an alternative to the moderate "revisionist" views of the Communist Party of Chile and other marxist organizations, usually calling them social-democrats and betrayers of classical Marxism-leninism. This criticism has since increased since the death of Gladys MarÃn and the Carmona-Teillier era, mostly due to their Concertación-Communist Party pact in the parliamentary elections, usually finding support in the far left and the non-parliamentary left.

Famous quotes containing the word philosophy:
“A novel is never anything but a philosophy put into images.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
“While youre playing cards with a regular guy or having a bite to eat with him, he seems a peaceable, good-humoured and not entirely dense person. But just begin a conversation with him about something inedible, politics or science, for instance, and he ends up in a deadend or starts in on such an obtuse and base philosophy that you can only wave your hand and leave.”
—Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (18601904)
“My position is a naturalistic one; I see philosophy not as an a priori propaedeutic or groundwork for science, but as continuous with science. I see philosophy and science as in the same boata boat which, to revert to Neuraths figure as I so often do, we can rebuild only at sea while staying afloat in it. There is no external vantage point, no first philosophy.”
—Willard Van Orman Quine (b. 1908)
