Children, Incorporated - Noted Donors & Recognition

Noted Donors & Recognition

Children, Incorporated’s most noted donor is poker professional, Barry Greenstein. Greenstein has chosen CI as his primary recipient of poker winnings and has donated over $1.5 million to the organization.

Dr. Richard Carlson also wrote about Children, Incorporated in two books in his Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff series. The two books, one of which was a New York Times Best Seller, are attributed as having encouraged over 4,000 individuals to sponsor a child through Children, Incorporated.

In 2012, singer/songwriter Rosanne Cash headlined the Richmond Folk Festival to commemorate her 25 years of sponsorship with the organization and raise local awareness.

Famous quotes containing the words noted and/or recognition:

It should be noted that when he seizes a state the new ruler ought to determine all the injuries that he will need to inflict. He should inflict them once and for all, and not have to renew them every day.
    Niccolò Machiavelli (1469–1527)

By now, legions of tireless essayists and op-ed columnists have dressed feminists down for making such a fuss about entering the professions and earning equal pay that everyone’s attention has been distracted from the important contributions of mothers working at home. This judgment presumes, of course, that prior to the resurgence of feminism in the ‘70s, housewives and mothers enjoyed wide recognition and honor. This was not exactly the case.
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
