Child of The Sun God - Production

Production

The character of the High Priest is portrayed by the Captain Ochre puppet from Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. In a scene deleted from the completed episode, Joe puts on the attire of the Child of the Sun God following the High Priest's demise and unveils himself to the Amaztecs, promising the people peace and prosperity. He is similarly dressed in the surviving closing scene set in Weston's WIN office. The scene in which Ataka presents a bowl of poison as an offering to Huitzilopochtli was originally shot as the opening of the episode, but was re-positioned during post-production. During the filming of the High Priest's fall into the chasm, the puppet lost the back of its head when it hit the set.

Famous quotes containing the word production:

It is part of the educator’s responsibility to see equally to two things: First, that the problem grows out of the conditions of the experience being had in the present, and that it is within the range of the capacity of students; and, secondly, that it is such that it arouses in the learner an active quest for information and for production of new ideas. The new facts and new ideas thus obtained become the ground for further experiences in which new problems are presented.
    John Dewey (1859–1952)

Every production of an artist should be the expression of an adventure of his soul.
    W. Somerset Maugham (1874–1965)

I really know nothing more criminal, more mean, and more ridiculous than lying. It is the production either of malice, cowardice, or vanity; and generally misses of its aim in every one of these views; for lies are always detected, sooner or later.
Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
